Installation is pretty easy. Have to cut the foam off the old one to get it through the little inside hole. And take the foam off the new one. Cut the tape at each end and slide it off. The crimp that holds the rubber grommet was a little hard to get through the inside hole. Just squeeze it down a little bit with a pair of pliers. And a little soap on the rubber will help it pop in. Tape a piece of string to the wire to pull it back through the foam.
This improved my radio reception 100% . Was even able to hear the local H S football game on AM . Should have done this long ago. Definitely worth the money.

Installation was not bad after looking at a couple of YouTube videos. My radio is still not picking up stations so I think I need to replace the radio as well.

The cable extension does not fit factory radio.

Antenna kit fits great and very easy to install. Only complaint is that the new base cover is of a lighter and flimsier plastic than the OEM cover, and I cracked it when trying to pry it off the antenna base. Hint to manufacturer: Don’t install the cover on the base when packaging the kit for shipment. Fortunately the old cover was still in pretty good shape so I was able to clean it up and reuse it. Not a showstopper, but just something to be aware of.

It took me longer to look up how to remove the old one then it did to install the new housing. But, as I was tightening the antenna down, it snapped off inside the housing. Didn't put much pressure into it. I would suggest only hand tightening the antenna on, anything else will break it.

The first antenna I received was broken, the part where the antenna screwed into the mount was snapped. Informed Quadratech and they got a replacement antenna to me quickly.
Put that one on, easy as pie. Drove it for a couple of weeks, went through a car wash and it snapped of in the exact same place.
The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because of the customer service.
