Reviews for Auto Custom Carpets Premium Replacement Carpet Kit for 99-02 Jeep Wrangler TJ
Price/color
Excellent fit, easy to install and look great.
went in easy, really nice carpet
Excellent product.
This carpet brought new life to my 99 Jeep Wrangler, it looks great. Most of the pieces fit out of the box, had to do very little cutting to make everything fit. Not as heavy as the factor carpet but still very pleased with how it looks and how simple it was to install!!!
Great product! Made our 2002 Sahara look like new. Easily removed the old interior and within an hour, had the new set in. Didn't remove the front seats. Tip: Remove the set screws in the cup holders for greater ease under the center console. Used a pair of scissors to snip the pre-cuts a little. But for the overall investment of $360, it has the most dramatic impact on the appearance of the vehicle (added the side skirts too)
Nice looking
For the price this carpet is good but I still had to make my own cuts as others have mentioned. Also this carpet does not come with any adhesive and you don't need to use adhesive if you don't want to. I purchased adhesive only for the back carpet as the other pieces are help by the seats, center console and a few buttons.
I installed this carpet in my Jeep about 6 months ago. It matches my camel interior perfectly and seems to be holding up well.
Two minor gripes about this product. First, it is not a heavy-duty carpet and is very thin. Before I installed it, I held it up to the light, and could see light coming through the material. For the price, you’d think it would be a big more heavy-duty. I installed a sound-deadening backing material before I installed this carpet, so it was not that big of a deal to me. With that being said, if I were order something like this again, I would definitely spend the extra money and get the carpet with the backing already installed. Second, while it is advertised to fit exactly as the OEM carpet, that is not technically true. I had to do some minor cutting and trimming to get the carpet to fit right. Again, not a huge deal, but I think it is worth noting.
Overall a very good product and I would probably buy it again…but as noted above, I would buy the carpet with the ticking/backing. I think it would be more durable.
Overall I am very pleased with this carpet set. The color is very good, the feel is nicer than the original. It doesn't fit quite as good as the original but it is very close. A bit of silicone caulk (glue) or sticky tape would solve most of the loose fit of the rear side panels. All the other pieces fit very well. It is not as dense as the original but seems like it will hold up well. CAUTION: The 14468 only fits the TJ with the full storage console. If you have just the cup holders like me, you will be left with a big hole around your parking brake boot. I am trying to resolve this now with Quadratec. Hoping they can swap the piece I have for the piece I need, as the manufacturer does make that design (per their website).
