Reviews for Quadratec Mirror Set for 87-95 Wrangler YJ with Tube & Fabric Doors
Good look and seems durable
The mirrors work like I expected them to. Vibrate at speed but make it so I can see anything on the driver's side without sticking my head out the door. Passenger side is just so I don't hit the garage when parking. I recommend grabbing stronger bolts and washers for a more secure fit. Without the washers the mirrors constantly folded while driving. Snapped a bolt trying to make sure they were tight. Washers did the trick.
Haven't used yet but looks like they will work fine
Look good and for great but they do stick out further than I prefer. They vibrate alot but I'm hoping after I rebuild my engine it'll smooth out. Overall good construction and simple install.
These work exactly as I expected them to.You could buy better mirrors,But you won’t beat these for the price...
These mirrors are great for what they are. There was some interference with the front door seal during install, but nothing a little force couldn't fix. They are hard to look through because there is no isolator between the mirror and body of the jeep (they rattle a fair amount). However they still let me know if there is anyone in the lanes next to me and let me be street legal, everything I need!
Kind of cheap auality but you get what you pay fow. Weird angle to mirrors but was easily able to bend the angle to work. Hey I can go doorless and be legal so thats all that counts. And they work just fine
I bought this set of mirrors after reading the previous reviews, and I have the same remarks as everyone else.
The bad:
- No idea why the mirrors mount at different heights. It's almost worth buying two sets so you can use the second left side for the right side.
- There's definitely shaking when in motion
- There are problems with the mirror arms moving out of position at higher speeds.
The good:
- The mounts can remain on the Jeep when it's time to put the doors back on.
- They keep me legal when the doors are in the garage.
- I'm rarely travelling at the speeds that cause the mirrors to move.
They don't mention this on the website, but it can be incredibly hard to take off the T40 torx screws on the actual jeep. You have to back the screws out in order to assemble the mirrors, and its almost impossible to take the torx screws out without stripping them. If you can get them out though, these are great mirrors.
Looks great, looks like metal but made of plastc. Functions horribly, bounces and spills. Too small to fit standard 20 oz Ozark Trail tumbler. Which would solve the spilling problem if the tumbler fit. Definitely not Jeep strong. Won't buy again.
