Secure spare when parked

Easy to program key, like how it comes with a cover for the key hole. Two minutes to install. Had to use the spacer supplied in package due to my offset but still worked great. I have 20x9 wheel with a -4 offset and the bolt lock does not stick out at all I barley notice it there.

I love BOLT products. They set to your Jeep key so you don't need to add more and more keys to your key ring. I only gave this 4 stars though cause I didn't like the way it looked on my spare. I took it off after a few minutes. I did end up repurposing it as a lock on a bracket I made for my hi lift jack so it wasn't a waist of money. I do know a few other Jeep owners that have these and like them so the look just didn't match my taste.

To large to use

This BOLT Spare Tire Lock works as advertised. Follow the instructions to "key in" the vehicle key, and there is no issue locking or unlocking this unit on the spare wheel/tire. It receives only three stars for me as it is a rather large thing that hangs out from its position on the spare tire. Though it will do the job, its appearance is rather "funky". I would rather doubt it could be made less "funky" and still do the job. Anyway, it is in the Jeep storage area as I intend to use the BOLT Spare Tire Lock when on the road, away from home.

Once installed and locked, this lock can be unscrewed with a wrench. The lug nut part is exposed and simple to take off. I returned the one I ordered after I installed it and removed it with a wrench.
