I just received this, it looks great. Not hard plastic, it's soft enough for your elbows.
The only drawback is that it should come with 3M tape for the front and back to adhere it better to the lid. No problem for me as I have this on hand being a mechanic.

Comfortable and good looking. Just be sure to clean the armrest you'll be sticking this cover on very well. Could use an adhesive strip toward the nose or front, double sided tape does the job okay, though.

The was a great addition to my TJ interior. I get all sorts of compliments from it. Very comfy on the elbow too going around tight corners!

I am very pleased with this item. I was a little skeptical, as the tire trad may be uncomfortable. But it is soft enough, that it is quite comfortable.
