Reviews for Quadratec Dual Replacement Mirror Set for 76-86 Jeep CJ5 & CJ7
Not super stable while driving. Good for knowing if something is coming up behind you, but vibrates to much to get a good view
Good mirrors but the vibrate quite a lot
Have bought these mirrors before and they work great. Only comment would be both times I have bought the mirrors the right mirror does not match the angle of the left. Seems like it does not go out far enough.
I use these on a 2017 JK. I originally used my dads old mirrors off of his 79 CJ5 and they worked great. These look nice but they vibrate excessively regardless of speed. The only way I can see anything in them is if I’m not moving. I don’t know if they are thinner metal or just made cheaply, but I’m going to have to go back to the 40 year old mirrors.
Drivers side mirror produces a loud whistle at anything over about 30mph. Air gets in between the mirror and rubber gasket around the edge of the mirror. I put a beed of silicone to try and fix.
vibrate excessively
Thin arms shake excessively over 30 mph.
they fit well, the left side (drivers side) looks great, however, when I mounted the right side (passenger) the arm seemed wrong. I contacted the company and they told me that they are supposed to look like that. they look horrible! I want them to be symmetrical. It isn't hard to make them look better.
I also found that Rugged Ridge make similar mirrors and they received poor reviews as well.
I tried calling customer service and found that they are only open until 5 PM eastern.
light weight and flimsy, they shake so bad you cant see in them. waste of money
Astonishingly lightweight and flimsy arms - easily bent. They vibrate when driving - which makes it difficult to see what’s in the mirror. I am replacing them by painting my original arms. Don’t waste your money.
