I have no idea why Jeep made the material of this part so thin. This OEM replacement worked great. I also purchased the 4 Mopar nuts. When installing it will help if you remove your hitch and slide above the muffler.

My 1990 XJ didn’t come with a heat shield for the muffler on the floorboard, it needed one. It would get so hot you couldn’t touch the floor. I used this one and it is a night day difference now. My Rockville Amp kept overheating because it’s under my rear seat. Great price, it works.
