Reviews for Fox Racing Shox 985-24-072 2.0 Performance Series IFP Steering Stabilizer for 84-06 Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ, TJ Unlimited, Cherokee XJ & Comanche MJ
I was a little unsure whether or not to purchase this stabilizer due to its price compared to others out there. But after reading some of the reviews from other customers I decided to go for it. I am extremely happy with this purchase. About 99% of all the previous steering shimmy and vibration that was transmitted through the steering column is now gone.
I had a 4" Lift & 315/70R17's installed on my '05 TJ; afterward I would experience a random "Wobble/Shimmy" in the steering around 45-50 mph. My Quadratec catalog would come and I would look for anything stating it could help..... Aftermarket stabilizers, I tried several lesser ones including a "Double" set-up and the condition continued. I would look at the $$ of the Fox 2.0 Performance Stabilizer and think "do I want to "waste" more $$" ? I finally ordered one about a year ago and..... BEST JEEP PURCHASE EVER!!!! Problem Is Solved, worked so well in fact that I am here today to order 4 Fox 2.0 Performance Shocks as well!!!
Improved steering quality and only took 5 min to install
I installed mine along with the synergy heavy duty steering kit..i love it u can tell a difference between stock and the fox..
way better then stock
This stabilizer is probably overkill for my stock TJ but I wanted to match the Fox Performance 2.0 IFP shocks I installed. The fit was perfect and have had no issues with steering. Installed in about 30 minutes. I love the look compared to the stock stabilizer.
Its a fox !! Lives up to the name !! A little bit tight on the fit but not a big deal
Great shock absorber, but fitment wasn't the best and install instructions (like every other instructions) suck. This is really the only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars. If it for t true to OEM like it said then it'd be 5 star.
Does the job its supposed to. 10 min or less to put up. Also bought a boot for it. And forgot to put it on? Hope it's worth the money over the long haul or if it's just a name brand thing.
Looks nice, but will not fit the dynatrac axles due to a "double sheer" set up. The ring ends are too large on the stabilizer.
