Reviews for Rancho RockGEAR Rear Differential Glide Plate for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK with Dana 44
Easy to install. Looks great on Jeep. Can’t wait to take it out in the trails.
took a beating on the Rubicon train and held up great.
I have left red drag marks all over the western United States. It does its job.
Easy to install. I put it on over a stock cover after I beat it up to prevent a repeat. It also looks good.
Fits great with the Recon's HD diff covers and was easy to install!
So far it's held up well sliding across rocks.
Depending on your aftermarket differential cover you may need to get longer bolts. I'm running G2 covers and needed to buy longer grade 8 bolts.
Haven't been wheeling with it yet, but it sure looks GREAT when paired with Rancho's differential cover. THAT SAID - If you're running a thick cover, INCLUDING Rancho's own cover (as shown in the photo), do NOT use the 4 differential bolts supplied. If you try to torque to 30ft-lbs as specified, it will most likely strip the threads out because it will only reach about 4-5 threads deep. This happened to me on two bolts, because I thought that perhaps it was a fluke on the first one and tried a second. EVEN IF you manage to get it torqued down - do you really want to be in a position where you accidentally bash a rock on a plate that's only held in by a few threads at 30 ft-lb? I was able to get some much longer stainless bolts and get it installed. Luckily, the holes in the differential are fairly deep, and there was still a lot of good thread left.
