First I'm not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination. I needed some additional light for my 85 CJ-7 because factory was not cutting it and us older folk just need more light. I had it installed in under an hour. It uses the same 3 bolts on each side as the ones your replacing. The only difficutly is the driver side bolts. The bottom two are squarely in the back of the license plate light and difficult to get to. Everything wen exactly according to directions. I was very pleased with the increased lighting especially backing up. Last year I purchased the Quadratec replacement headlights and were equally pleased with them
