Reviews for Bedrug BTJK07F4 BedTred Premium Molded Front Floor Covering for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door
Looks just what I was looking for!
I purchased the Bedrug Bedtred kit for my 2016 Wrangler JKU. Once installed the product looks and performs great, but on a side note there are some issues with this product. It is not as sturdy as it is made out to be as it is much thinner than was described and one piece even ripped slightly during installation due to this. Once installed the outer shell seems tough but the edges seem to be prone to tears while installing and removing the product. Installing the Bedtred was a ballet of pushing, pulling and tugging for nearly 4 hours. There are wire looms under the front seats that the Bedtred needs to be maneuvered around and the instructions make no mention of this. There are also some areas where the Bedtred seems creased and doesn't quite sit right. My biggest complaint is the fancy “hook and loop” system that Bedrug raves about. This is just simply CHEAP velcro that attaches to the underside of the Bedtred and has an adhesive backing that attaches to the body of the vehicle. I had a very hard time getting the adhesive part of the velcro to stick even after cleaning and drying the area throughly. In some instances I had to leave the velcro out because it simply would not stick. Now I'am stuck buying heavy duty velcro on my own even though this is what it should have come with from the start for $317! Now that this is installed I doubt I will ever take the product out as I'am concered that the cheap quality will cause it to rip during removal. I feel like Bedrug and Quadratec used a bit of false advertisement just to sell their product and this is not right. Great idea but Bedrug needs to do better at making this product worth the whopping $317 I paid for it!
I got this on sale and still think I paid too much. Was expecting some sort of rigid plastic material that would hold its shape but these are closer to foam. Does not fit well in the car and is tricky to install. I'm not expecting these floors to last very long just by the feel of the material.
I was really excited when I seen this product! Thought to my self “ no more smelly wet carpet” although I don’t have to worry about damp smelly wet carpet from leaking roof or getting rained on. I believe for the price of this product that it should had been designed with a way better fit to the jeep around where it meets with the seat and with the door. That being said I would recommend the product because it’s way better than the carpet but I feel it’s way over priced. $200 range would be more idea.
