The textured powder coat is good and thick. Construction is good. I honestly couldn't ask for a better product at this price point. The only negative I would say to this product is that it was missing 8 washers that were needed for installation. It wasn't anything a trip to Home Depot couldn't fix tho

The manufacturing is great but the instructions are terrible. They come with one wrapped in green bubble wrap and one in clear. Installing these step rails were easy as "1-2-3!" If you can read then you should not have any problems at all installing them. Even though the instructions were not all correct I was still able to figure where the brackets and screws and bolts needed to be placed. They look really good on my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport.

These are great steps, solidly built, and look great when installed. The only issue I had was with the install. Instructions were vague... parts were not labeled as the instructions indicated. Instructions stated each bracket was marked LF, RF, etc. They were simply labeled F or R. Thought maybe all the green wrapped parts were on side and the clear wrapped parts the other. Nope, that didn't work either. Needed to use trial and error to get everything to line up. What should've been a 30 minute install took well over an hour just trying to make sure everything was in the right place.

Lets start that the only reason, this is not 5 stars, is the instructions sheet and no markings on parts. These steps look and function exceptionally well for the price you pay. The installation with decent instructions, would take less than an hour at most, but because the instructions were not real clear and the mounting brackets were not marked, the install too more than 3 hours (do to the fact that 1/2 the mounting hardware was missing). The brackets are not marked and are not like the ones shown in the picture on the instruction sheet, so I had to mix and match, until I found the combination of which one, went where. Once I went and purchased the missing hardware and found which brackets went where, it was probably 30 minutes to install. Again the price is great, just be patient and try to match up the brackets before installing and it should go smooth.

However, the clear-wrapped brackets go with the green-wrapped step! Naturally, I had to find all this out the hard way. Also, the bracket mounting bolts are all metric (13mm) but the bolts to mount the step to the bracket are 1/2". Really? Also, the parts count is off, so if you're counting washers, you'll find that you have less than what's called for. But that's OK, they give you enough hardware. Bottom line, I'm pleased with the result, but was frustrated with the installation.
