This review only applies to 2018 JL Rubicon: Well, this is sort of a mixed review. The pro is that it is indeed a grab handle, the con is that they really do not help you enter the vehicle at all. They look cool, and the red matches my red "Ruby" but they really do not help entry, except for tiny kids. Another factor, besides no directions for these particular grab handle, is that they not only reduce visibility to the driver when facing left, looking out driver window, but you hit your head on them every time you exit the vehicle. I would recommend a GRAB HANDLE PAD to be honest. Installation was easy for rear, took 2-3 minutes each, but front requires removing roof panels to get a good pull. The front, including removing the panels, took about 5 minutes. Maybe another 2 minutes to put the panels back on. Grand total, front and back, to be dead honest, about 10-12 minutes. PRO: Good looks, works well only for smaller rear passengers due to the angle of entry, works for kids, relative lack of bunching, color match to red vehicle or black interior is nice. They make standing for roof access a bit nicer and safer....as biggest plus. CONS: No quantifiable aid in entering your vehicle, hit head on them every time you exit the vehicle (how this is avoided, I have no idea unless you are under 5'5" tall (or have seat adjusted way down), requires front panel removal to get good pull on all three Velcro straps, no directions (although fairly self explanatory). Would I buy them again? No. Will I remove the driver's side? Maybe.
