i have a 2019 jl rubicon 220m axle with e locker what gear oil to use ?thanks
Please consult your Jeep's owners manual for recommended oils and lubricants

Why can’t you use this on a Jeep TJ? Is it not just standard 80W-90 diff fluid? Is there something special for the JK?
Fitment has been changed, this does supersede the OE oil part number 4874468 used in the Dana axles

Is this pure oil or is it synthetic or synthetic blend? Are there any friction additives in it? I'm needing non-synthetic gear oil for Detroit Truetracs.
This is straight oil, with no additives. If you need a friction modifier additive please see 4318060AB or 04318060AD

Does this also comply with the API GL-5 spec?
Yes Mopar lubricant is GL-5

How many quarts per axle. Please don’t respond in pints......again.
The conversion would be 1.25 qts for the dana 30 and 2 quarts for the dana 44
Mark B.
You keep referencing pints when answering the questions re capacity. Don't you meant quarts?
Pints are the preferred measurement. These quart bottles of oil are primarily purchased through dealers and shops which use this on a regular basis. This bottle contains enough oil to service multiple axles.

i'm ordering arb front and rear diff covers from QT, will these hold more fluid? what is actual capacity for each diff. stock 30 and 44. i can't seem to find the actual capacity, i"ve looked it up and no answer is the same. do you recommend this mopar gear oil or a synthetic such as royal purple?
A stock Dana 30 requires 2.5 pts and the Dana 44 Rear would need 4 pts (Trac-lok only: +4 oz. additive). The ARB covers use the factory recommended lubricant and levels. So fill to those specs. As for the Royal Purple, that is up to you, using lubricants other than those recommended by the manufacturer can void warranties.

Is this the same 80W-90 for a XJ Dana 30 and Dana 35 rear?
Yes this is the same. What was originally # 04874468 for the earlier Jeeps changed to this part number in 2017. The contents remained the same
Richard J.
On JLRU how many qts/differential
The Dana 30 uses 1.82 Pints and the Dana 44 Rear uses 3 pints
John B.
Is the viscosity used the same, for front & rear diffs, on both Dana 44 axels!?
Yes the same is recommended for both axles
