Reviews for Quadratec Ultimate All Weather Rear Cargo Liner for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
As others have said, it does require some cutting if the back seat is still in use.
Nice high sides.
Doesn't work on JK with bench seat. Great liner but doesn't allow the bench seat to be installed. Spent 30 minutes trying only to figure out the liner is thick enough to keep the back two clips from attaching to the floor. The rear clips are short the half inch or so the liner adds.
I have had this item for a few years and I am not thrilled with the way it is held up, I would not recommend this item for extreme use.
Broadly speaking, this is a good product. It just didn't work for me. There is a lip about an inch or so high on the tailgate side which prevented my tailgate from closing. I have mounted gear bags mounted on the inside of my tailgate. What I expected was that the liner had flat edges.
It is an accurate fit and clearly matches my other mats in front of my seats, and will certainly benefit from the protection it provides, however after cutting the holes for my rear seat, which was easy, and replacing the seat, it was extremely difficult to get the rear seat latches to lock the seat in place. Disappointing.
I have a 2018 JK 2dr (Not JL) and this was a snug fit. What I mean by that is that it fits great IF and only if you don't intend to use your back seat. Side to side, back to front, works great. However, once you cut out the designated area for the seat rails and actually try to get the seat to lock back into place, uhhhh good luck! I mean really, it was difficult. I got it to work, but not after almost an hour of slamming my seat down, re-trimming the mat, checking and rechecking the placement of the mat and seat. I won't EVER lift the back seat up. At least not for another year so the plastic has a chance to fit to form how ever it did to finally get the seat to be able to lock in place. My advice if you have the same problem, trim small pieces at a time as to not to murder the mat and take your time. Sometimes easier said than done. If you don't want to put in the effort to have your back seat in with the mat, then I'd pass on this product. If you're leaving your back seat out, no worries, the mat fits with ease, all day long.
I love the Quadratec front and rear floor liners, so much so when I bought a new Jeep the first thing I bought were new floor liners for it. I rate them a 5! However the cargo liner is not made from the same material and look completely different than the floor liners. I was a little disappointed. Seemed to be made of cheaper material than the floor liners.
Nice mat but back seat needs to be slammed down hard to have latches hook into floor.
Giving a middle of the road rating because:
1/ I'd give it 5 stars based on construction, looks, how it seems to fit (cutouts for the rear seat latches in my 2017 2-dr Rubicon were centered over the cutouts) and, based on how it feels, how durable I imagine it will be over time.
2/ I'd give it 1 star because, as others have reported, once installed it's impossible to get the rear seat latches engaged. I slammed them, sat and bounced on the seat, oversized the rear cutouts in the mat, shifted everything here and there all to no avail. I didn't get a second person to help me but even if that worked, I don't always have someone around to help with something as simple as locking the rear seat down.
Bottom line for me - if the seat locked down I'd be completely satisfied with the product unfortunately not being able to do that I had to return it. If you don't have the issue I had I think you'll be satisfied with this product.
Overall the cargo liner is great and protects the back of the jeep and the sub-woofer. Helps minimize cleanup when going on trips and hauling things. Only downside for me is when nothing is in the rear of my jeep and a song comes on with bass in it, the mat rattles bad. I have the upgraded Alpine speakers in my 2016 JKU and you wouldn't know it with the cargo mat in the back. I couldn't take the rattling anymore and have been driving with the stock mat for now. I still plan to utilize the mat when going camping or on long trips. If it was a rubber material I think it would cut down on the rattling.
