A reviewer commented that he had to run a ground wire back up through housing.?? Is this necessary? Isn’t there a metal bracket that the bulb sockets are welded to? By screwing through bracket into frame, doesn’t that create the same ground as OEM light??
This will not need any additional wiring. This tail light housing uses a metal plate on the interior of the housing to ground the circuit. It is absolutely necessary to install the housing completely in order for the tail light to function. Thank you for the question.

This is the complete tail light including the lens.
Does this use LED or halogen bulbs?
