Reviews for Noram Auto Body Parts 16130-L Drivers Side Replacement Steel Rocker Panel with Lower Cowl for 76-95 Jeep CJ-7 & Wrangler YJ
Passenger side for great. Driver did not line up at all. Not sure if my tub is out of alignment or if it was this panel. Used it anyway but will require more body work to finish than the other side
Panel is about half the thickness of the original sheet metal (very flimsy). Better off buying 18ga sheet metal and making you own panel/ patch.
This is thinner than factory body. The piece is exactly like the drawing. The curved part around the front of the door does not have the lip.
The only way this can be used is as a skin, to cover the side of the jeep.I don't know how to use a skin so then it is only good for cutting pieces out. You are better off buying a sheet of thicker steel and cutting it to fill in with. The cost of this pre-bent thin steel is not worth it.
The shipping came in a thin cardboard box so all three different parts i purchased were bent up during shipping. I would have returned these parts if i had opened them before the 30 day return policy.
Absolute junk. About as thick as aluminum foil and the profile at the bottom door edge (top of panel) doesn't line up at all. As others have said, it's better just to make your own considering the simple flat design. I should mention mine didn't arrive flat, but all bent up because it is so flimsy. I was able to straighten the piece out with my bare hands. After an hour or two of burning through trying to get it welder in with the thicker original metal, I had a stroke of genius and cut it out, then dropped it on the scrap pile. What a waste!
