Close to factory look

These kits have changed since the last time I purchased one a few years ago. At that time they were like the OEM antenna & mount in that the antenna base had the male fitting and the antenna had the female fitting. If you needed a new antenna but the base was okay you didn't have to buy the whole thing; only the mast. These new ones are the other way around so none of the older kits or OEM parts can be used. In addition, the cable is different, too, so you have to pull it all out and throw it away.

So, the kit works fine as long as you don't mind starting over with all-new parts that are incompatible with anything made over the last 40 or so years.
