Junk. Do not waste your time or money. This bearing out-of-the-box "rocked" on the shaft. The one I took out of the jeep had 140K miles on it, and I replaced it only because my son is heading to a different state, and the fan bracket/AC mount this fits in is discontinued; I didn't want him to get stranded if it failed, so I wanted to replace it. I bought the Omix as I was in a hurry and it offered a quick delivery. I installed the bearing anyway, and in the installation process, it got even worse. What junk is is this bearing! Solution is a NSK 885586 Water Pump bearing at 1 17/32" bearing diameter and 0.6267 shaft Diameter. You will have to cut one shaft on one side of the bearing with a standard hack-saw (I used a vice to hold it) and then smooth the shaft and edges with a hand file (no cut off wheel as it generates two much heat). The NSK was solid and after pressing into the casting, was firm. There is a youtube video that shows how to do this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SQnw1lqYjs Also, if you do not want to do the work yourself, there is an ebay person who will do the replacement for you, you just mail them your bracket at https://www.ebay.com/itm/REPAIR-ONLY-1996-2001-RHD-Jeep-Cherokee-4-0L-Fan-Bearing-Housing-Core-Needed/202225842464?hash=item2f15997920%3Ag%3ALiYAAOSwxyJbiyB8&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&campid=5337968780&customid=ebuy-900X16-bepubrac-UStoEBAY_US-ref-search.yahoo.com-pos2001-t7&toolid=10049 I used the latter for my 1996 Jeep RHD after I'd destroyed the bearing trying to press it out and couldn't get the outer part of the bearing removed. Of note, on my 1996 Jeep Cherokee, I didn't replace the bearing before it failed, and the fan went into the radiator, which forced a replacement of that too, so do not wait until it fails to replace this.
