Ingenious little device that is well made and fits nicely. This device certainly adds another functional layer of protection against theft. Item installed without issue. For the price you can't go wrong.

It’s more of a deterrent than a solid lock in my opinion. I had to stretch the metal (not difficult) to make it taught against the latch. This is fine but I can basically squeeze it and it will go loose/limp and one could then wrangle it off or loose. I haven’t tried this but I definitely think it’s possible because it was loose on the latch until I stretched it.

I would highly recommend not adjusting the screws/plate if you can. It is a booger to get back where you want it. If it’s tight, leave it tight. Had to really crank on it and struggle to get the adjustment bar back in place.

The lock works really well and keys turned easy in the lock.

For the price I’d buy it again, but knowing it’s not a solid lock and more of a deterrent as I said before.

You might think I’m crazy to put one on based on the condition of my grill on my TJ, but it gives me a little piece of mind. A thief will set off my alarm trying to jack with it and that’s sufficient for me.

I like it but maybe it’s me but it fits perfectly when the hood is up and not at all when it’s down. Tried it 3 or 4 times. Glad I’m only out $14.
