decent winch.. have not used it yet only issue i had is the positive cable is about 6 inches to short no matter how i ran it.. it cannot be run clean to look factory - had to run it over the battery instead of being able to hide it.. not a huge deal but i like a clean look.. and this doesn't get it done, also the mounts for the power box/brain needed to be bent so they would be tight when mounting.. just fell off.. still worth the money i guess

I purchased the smittybilt xrc gen 2 9500 with synthetic rope. The good. Built very tough for a low price winch. Installing was easy. Make sure you preinstall the ground wires before bolting to bumper, it's on the bottom of motor and makes it much easier.. remote is well built and it magnetic so will lock on anything. Good stainless plug that locks.. very powerful. Love the winch, but haven't put to extreme use yet. The bad . The 4 mounting bolts doesn't seem to be the best grade of metal. I used them anyways, we will see. Easy fix if dont like them. Ace hardware and 5.00.. will put next review on the extreme duty of it.

I installed of this winch was easy. I do wish the positive wire was a foot or two longer as it limited my options to run the wire. Once installed I extended the line out as per the instructions. After reeling it back in I went to remove the winch controls by pushing down the release button and pulling it out. Unfortunately the entire control port came out. It looked like the screws that held it in place had been over tighten and cracked the holes in the housing. I first attempted to call the help number that was in the box but got an automated run around. I next called Quadratec and spoke with Dave who was able to help me very quickly and ship me a new winch. The new winch controls are now installed and working great.

Awesome product! The shipping box was a little damaged but package very well so no damaged happened and two days sooner than told.

Winch works great. Had to use it once already to pull myself about 25ft out of a mud hole lol. Easy installation, overall I’d say great winch so far.

Seems like a good product, instructions are sketchy at best....

Love it, for the price i paid and the amount of wheeling i actually do this is a great working winch for piece of mind on the trail, and houshold yard work and stuff!

I love the winch. Was shipped fast and package great for protecting the winch. Only thing I'm not crazy about is the way the motor sits on top of the winch. It only hooks with 2 hooks and 1 screw.

Works well, kinda chinsey plug in but good value.

First time use and failed. Would power out but not return the line.
