Why would it not work for me to sharpen the edges to cut rope when it's the same one that comes with the warn winches

It's steel, it's heavy, it works. A bit rough, so I wouldn't use it with synthetic winch rope, but it's meant for steel cable and it's perfect for that.

Heavy casting, paint holds up well and looks good.

Excellent Product. I decided to get this vs the Fairlead Roller. The winch I have, had wire rope. Fast Shipping and Great Customer Service at Quadratec. You will be happy with any purchase from this company.

Didn't like the look of the steel rollers that came standard with the winch on the black bumper so added for cosmetic purposes. Showing slight signs of rust after several seasons and multiple uses.

Good purchase. Came without damage and scrapes. Recommend as probably the only option on the market compatible with wire rope and means to allow a wire rope to closed point link installation.

The only problem with this item, is that the bolt caps do not stay in place. So my solution was to use some silicone on them to make them stay in place.
