Cable was purchased to replace a bent original function cable. While this cable is identical to the original, the problem is with the length of the outer cover - it is too long and prevents proper selection of all modes due to binding, which then causes the cable to kink if the control knob is forced to the last mode. Engineers need to correct the outer cover length to allow all modes to be selected.

I installed the cable and it initially worked well but 2 days later It was not working. I opened the dash back up and found the new cable was bent- just like the one I replaced it with.
