Reviews for Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac Tires
Good reviews
Could not be happier with this tire choice. I run them on a 1999 Cherokee. 3 inch lift running 31’s. No problem with anything I’ve thrown at them; mud, snow, rain, and on road. I believe they are considered a hybrid tire. A tire that has design elements of both an AT and a MT. Seems about right. Love these. Noise never an issue. Wear is great. Been running them for 3 years and tread looks fantastic. Will buy again and again. Great job Goodyear.
Excellent tires, great choice.
I bought these a little over 3 years / 70k miles ago. Conduct a 5 tire rotation every 5k miles, and they still have an enormous amount of tread. Most people don't believe me when I tell them they have 70k miles on them. Road noise is minimal, however, it has become a bit more noticeable the last few months. Used on my 2014 2D JK Sponrt, which is my daily vehicle. Used mostly for highways, back roads and trips to OBX. Traction is awesome in the rain (hit every single deep puddle I can find), rare snow storms in the mid-Atlantic area were not a problem to negotiate, and the beaches of OBX have never given these tires any type of problem. Hands down absolutely love these tires and whenever the time does come to replace them...I will be looking for only these tires. Worth every penny.
I AM a 70 year old fuddy who has lived in snow country virtually all of my life. The last 50 years have been spent in Northern Michigan where the snow hits in October and falls all the way to June. The Goodyear Duratrac is without question the very best snow tire I have ever run, and I have tried all the "big names" over those years and none of the others work in heavy snow the way the Duratracs do. I spend a fair number of hours running bush trails now and I run them all year round on my 2000 Cherokee. Winter or summer, rain or shine, they are up for everything I have thrown at them.
My JL came factory with 245s. I got the Duratracs in 265 70R 17 because I did not want to deal with a lift kit etc. This is the biggest size you can get for the JL without having to deal with rubbing issues. No lift kit is needed. I'm extremely pleased with these tires. The other reviews are spot on. They look great, the stick out a little bit on the sides which is nicer than the factory tires. They are extremely quiet for an aggressive tire and I run with a soft top only. I had BF Goodrich AT on my previous wrangler and they were great; but they were not as quiet as these nor was the ride as smooth. But they were still really good tires so I guess its a matter of taste. I'm very pleased with these though. If you read other reviews on the interweb you won't find many negative things about these puppies.
I've mounted and balanced 10 sets of these with good success. They ride nice, and look aggressive. Very little road noise.
Extreme tread for an A/T tire! Low road noise even at 50-60mph and 80mph. I bought 315x12.50x17 for my 2018 JL SPORT and paired it up with just a ReadyLift 2.5 inch leveling kit. NO RUBBING! Spare tire NEEDED relocation bracket to fit with stock rear bumper.
The only tires I’ll ever run on my jeep.
Great tires. Had them in two days
