Great product and very functional for soft top owners

Like it for the added security but wish it was built for the LJ so no wasted space.

Exactly what I was looking for. With a soft-top, leaving anything of value in the Jeep is a risk. This definitely provides an extra degree of security. The only downside is that there is no room to accommodate the rear seat belt anchor point.

The Bestop InstaTrunk is a well engineered efficient addition to your Jeep. The sheet metal went together without any problems and had a great finish. The only criticism I have is the riv nuts. They didn't work for me. I ended up opening up the slotted holes in the InstaTrunk and using the factory holes in the tub (they lined up perfect) and then used industrial strength Xmas tree fasteners! Super clean looking install and very secure. The only other thing I wish i would have done is ran the carriage bolts on the side panels opposite the instructions, would have been a little cleaner looking detail. If you want a little secure space, buy it!

This trunk was a fantastic addition to my Jeep. Getting it installed was less-than-ideal because the nuts that come with the trunk are garbage, so I had to drill extra holes and bolt it directly to the tub (if you're interested in specifics you can email me at [email protected]) and that took more time than I would have liked. After I got the thing installed, it has been awesome. It's secure and solid enough and prevents folks from taking anything locked in my Jeep.

Nice fit. Got rusted in 2 months even the jeep is in the garage and hard top. Poor quality of paint

Not water-proof. Not even water-resistant. The space is minimal. The fold and tumble rear seat is a bit difficult to access.
