Reviews for Rampage Products 88625 Front Double Tube Bumper with Fog Light Holes in Textured Black for 07-22 Jeep Wrangler JL, JK & Gladiator JT
Matches my rear bumper and side rails.
I like the way it looks on the Jeep in pictures. I also like that I can use my factory fog lights.
The bumper fits fine and looks great. Only thing I wish was stated clear in the instructions and the listing is that the bumper is not compatible by default with the JL fog light brackets standard or Rubicon. You can make them work but in order for them to work properly you need to replace them with JK fog lights.
Easy install, I did it alone in about an hour and a half, but our old bumper was on there pretty good. I had to use a breaker bar on a couple of the nuts. Once the old bumper was off, putting the factory fog lights in this bumper and installing it were pretty straight-forward. I would echo the sentiments of getting some wire ties to have handy for the wiring harness that mounts to the factory bumper. AND, if you have someone else handy to help hold the new bumper in place, you'll save a lot of time and hassle.
Fits perfectly!!! Just make sure you get some brackets if you have the sports model
Very important FYI for all you winch lovers, and those who thought that you would have to get rid of this bumper if you wanted one.
This bumper DOES support a winch plate:Westin 47-3106 Trailblazer Winch Mount in Black Textured, sold right here at Quadratec.
Was told it could not be done, but yes it can. No retrofitting either. The plate fits on easy, and the bumper right after. No conflicts at all.
I put a smittybuilt 12000 lbs winch on there. It looks great. Look at my pics.
Getting the factory bumper off was the hard part. Zero issues attaching the factory fog lights to their mounts, but you might want a couple zip-ties for the wires.Instructions weren't (for me) specific enough about what to leave "finger tight". You definitely want to make sure you tighten the mounting plates on the frame before mounting the bumper, cause you ain't getting a wrench on them bolts once the bumper is mounted. Other than that, easy-peasy...and looks great!
The instructions leave a bit to be desired but over all easy to install. The unfinished look when installed is a bit annoying as others have stated. You can buy the Smittybilt front frame cover. It matches perfectly and is a perfect fit. It covers the gap and is made to fit like a factory look. If ordering this bumper spend the extra $50 on the cover you won’t be disappointed. I try and post pictures of the finished installation.
Just had these installed and love the overall look. As far as cost/value, this is definitely a 5 star product. That being said, the one area I am really disappointed in is the finished look of the space between the grill and the bumper. It would have been nice to be told that there would be this ugly looking space where you can see the frame and the wiring for the fog lights. In my research and phone calls, there is apparently no finished frame cover offered in this brand. It makes for an ugly unfinished look and I am now haveing to spend hundreds of dollars to have a local shop custom make a steal plate to cover the frame. This really seems like a big miss to me. I could have put a winch plate and winch on it, but I don't want a winch. It would have been great to have a plastic peice that bolts on.
looked great at first, bought in 2016....rust started just 2 years after, now completely rotted out front bumper in 2021 ..... not worth the price!!
