Reviews for Crown Performance Products 5 Layer Custom Brake Lines for 11-18 Jeep Wrangler JK with 1-2.5" Lift
I like the option to have a color of my choosing and the strong design of the braided steel line.
look good and they work
Outstanding brake lines, and much much better than OEM. Plus I now have the needed slack for off road. Two things though: first, if you don't pull the front shocks, the stock style bracket mount needs some tweaks to get it in. Second, for the ABS clips, I cut the old ones off the OEM lines with a dremel and reused them. Not taking stars away as these are Jeeps--some ingenuity is needed at times.
Glad I chose the real deal.
Much better flow to the caliper.
Stock lines seem like low grade after stopping with Crown lines.
These brake lines are fantastic, they made a big difference in brake pedal firmness. One of the best modifications I've made on my JK.
Great product, straight forward install. Completed my suspension the right way, instead of the brackets and bending of hard lines recommended by the suspension manufacturer.
I installed these today and took my time doing it. They seem to tuck out of the way enough not to get snagged on anything. My primary complaint is the included frame mount does not work for the front-left line-hose connection, the other three lined up with a little manipulation. Inverting one of them mad up for a minor misalignment without bending the brake lines much. Some clips to secure the now unsecured wheel speed sensor wires would be a useful addition for just a few cents in production, I used some zip strips for now. Instructions in the box, especially for the fame mounts, is another low-cost addition to the package.
Excellent product. These are a great deal for the price and the quality. Just would have been nice to get instructions. Was a little tricky to figure out how the brackets worked. Had to do a little customizing to make them fit perfect, but other than that they are great.
Nice brake lines! Very durable and gave the added length needed for my lift. My one issue was the brackets that the lines came with. After some trial and error, I decided that the included brackets must be meant to completely replace the the stock brake line hanger (obviously) as well as the other bracket for the line that it is paired up with (in front of the vehicle). I'm okay with that, and I can just zip-tie it all together. It just would have been nice to have a brief instruction sheet or just and FYI pertaining to the brackets.
The supplied brackets don't line up correctly at all, these brake lines are on the expensive side and you would expect that they would have thought this out.
