Reviews for Fairchild Industries KD3012 Full Steel Door Seal Kit for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ & Unlimited
Came in prompt. No issues. Had old ones off and new ones on in less than twenty minutes.
Like the other review, the answered question is WRONG. Spent way too much time fighting it before I just swapped them. Green definitely was the passenger side for me.
High quality product, fits perfectly BUT does not come with instructions and the seals are not labeled which is left and which is right. The answer to question 1 in the questions section states that the seal with green clips fits the driver side door, in my case that was not correct. I installed the one green clips in the driver side door. It took much longer than the 20 minutes stated in the other reviews because the rubber around the window would not slide into the metal lip on the door. I finally took it off and laid it over the top of old seal. It was immediately obvious that although the part had green clips, it did not the match the old seal from the driver side door. I started over using the seal with white clips on the driver side door, it went in smoothly in about 5 minutes. Rather than depending on the color of the clips, which apparently is not consistent, I suggest laying the old and new seals side by side to determine which is left and which is right.
I have an 05 LJ and these fit perfect. Took my daughter 20 minutes to install both sides and they fit like the factory ones. I definitely recommend these.
I have a 2006 TJR. The seals are molded well and are the correct size. The only flaw is the location for the uppermost pin on the front side of the door. It is about 5/8" too high. Everything else lines up great. All that needs to be done is make a new hole in the seal in the correct place and move the pin to line up with the hole in the door. Otherwise they are perfect.
Not a perfect fit on my 99. They are actually a bit long, and I had to wiggle them in somehow so that they fit in the track. Also, no need for those clips except 2 near the latch; mine is just a track that they slide into. Also, the seal with the white clips was the driver side. Seem to be good quality though, I really have to put some force into shutting the door now, I guess that’s a sign that my 22-year-old seals were done.
Fit perfect. I highly suggest that before you remove the old seals, layout the new one on them so you make sure you put on correct doors. On mine the green pins went on the passenger door. Just converted my jeep to winter mode so if something changes I will update.
I believe the pictures above have the seals incorrectly mounted on the opposite doors. My installation went pretty smooth. Fit not quite OEM, but not bad for after market.
Great fitment, went on easy with good quality material.
Nice product.
