This was a very easy replacement for the boot in my '08 JK that eventually broke at the plastic base. The only tough part was removing the shifter knob, but even that's easy once you get the hang of it.

This is the factory replacement for the manual shift boot. The hardest part is removing the shift knob; turn left and right then eventually pull it straight up.

Installation of the boot literally takes 5 seconds; slide in back part, snap down the 2 clips. Done.
