Reviews for QuadraTop Replacement Soft Top with Upper Doors & Tinted Rear Windows for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ
Price.
The fit and affordability.
Soft top
Install went fine, everything lines up for the most part. Time will tell how it holds up but the original top lasted 17 years being parked in the garage. Only issue is the half doors take a little more push to close and the line up 95% of the way. The little over hang makes for more push to close.
Solid replacement. Was very skeptical after reading the other reviews. But for the money it was worth a shot. This is my first jeep and I had never had the top down let alone off. It was incredibly easy. Took an hour to get the old top off and the new top on. (just play the youtube install video and follow along). I have full doors on currently and the fit with them is what makes this a 4 not a 5. But it also could be my install. Anyway. Its not silent going down the road in the wind but it by far exceeded my expectations. Totally worth it. Buy one!
This replacement is great. the kit is near factory fitting. I had a lot of trouble installing the half door uppers and it looks as though the position of the weather stripping on the door uppers is off a little - the doors aren't quite flush when closed. No leaks though! Definitely recommend the Tinted windows!
I've had the top on my 2000 TJ for about 5 months and it has worked great. The upper doors do leak through the seam bellow the start of the window though so that is something to look out for.
My 1998 OEM rag-top really was getting to be a rag with thin spots that leaked rain water and holes that let in the wind and rain despite my duct-tape efforts. After reading the instructions and reviewing several online videos, removing the old top and installing the new one was straight forward, but not easy, and it took a try to two to get things settled. This new cover looks great in comparison to the original one, but it does not fit exactly like factory original, especially around the doors, and some parts are not quite tight or are a bit skew. I'm hoping that as I put on more miles and cold temperatures arrive, the fabric will tighten and the space around the door will increase so that the doors close normally. Either way, I'm happy to have a top that will keep the rain and wind out, and I'm happy to have windows that zip up and down and that I can see through.
The craftsmanship of the cover is nice but my driver side window zippers recently both broke, also the stitching on the zipper teeth started to come undone. Also, the teeth have started to come unaligned on the back window zipper. The 3-year warranty is about right as things started to go downhill from there.
Looks good so far but am having a hard time zipping in the rear window around the corner on the passenger side. Broke the pull trying to zip it. Don’t know what to do to get that zipper around the corner. Been trying for two days.
