Reviews for QuadraTop Replacement Soft Top with Tinted Windows for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ
Straight forward to fit following the video directions. Fits very well on the back half although the front half is very loose and water pools quite badly when it rains. Feels like it needs to be tightened. Customer services tried to sell me another product rather than rectify my problem- would not recommend.
I have had this too on for nearly two weeks now and I have to say I’m very disappointed in the top. I have a 2000 TJ and replaced the bestop that was on it when I purchased it because of the age and mold on the inside. The reviews seemed good on this one and went ahead and tried to save a few bucks for other upgrades. Guess I have learned my lesson. The quality of the fabric and windows seem to be well made, however my issue with the top is that it is extremely loose. Good news with that is it made it extremely easy to install. Bad news is it sounds like a pterodactyl is flying above you when you drive. The Door frame clips are the area that are the most troublesome. Literally two fingers and no tug and they flip out. I am somewhat worried that when I drive with my doors off or back windows out that they will work themselves out and destroy my top. Time will tell I suppose. Hopefully I can live with it for a year and then upgrade to a better top.
This is not a high quality top. Took a chance on the house brand and am not thrilled. The assembly is pretty good but the material is cheaper than I expected. Very thin compared to the bestop ones I have purchased in the past. The tinted windows seem distorted to look thru. The side windows are a bit to big so it has a baggy look. Maybe the sun will shrink it a bit. Top does not pull tight across the top at drivers doors so the clips above the doors barely stay in place. Not sure it will stay in place at highway speeds. My advice, spend the extra couple hundred on the bestop sail cloth. That one lasted over ten years.
Purchased this product (#11000-4135) for my TJ and the quality of material is great, relatively easy to install, but the zippers broke off and the fabric surrounding the stops stretched out and do not allow for re-attachment of the removable panels. I only removed the tops panels twice in the last 10 months (Best part of owning a Jeep in Florida), so overuse ruled out as the issue.
Recommend purchasing a better quality product with zipper construction that lasts.
Do not waste your money on this top. First, the bottom zipper connector came off. After I was informed it couldn’t be replaced. I glued it on where at least the zipper would work. Now, the zipper track itself has broken apart, so now the back window is useless. This is all after limited times of removing it. If I could give it Zero stars, I would m DO NOT RECOMMEND
DO NOT BUY THIS TOP. Instead of actual zipper teeth like on the original, these zippers have those same coils that you have cursed on gym bags and other items that jam all the time. " Feature jam resistant technology and heavy duty plastic teeth was a lie".
My wife got me this top for my birthday. I removed my hardtop this week and installed the softtop today since it's going to rain for the next few days.
Not only was the fit not right for my 2004 TJ to get the windows zipped up, but the zipper BROKE while I was trying to force it on.
I guess now I'll have to figure out how to make sure my interior doesn't get soaked since I don't have a garage.
Not a good top. Too tight new, too loose broken in. stains easily even with protective coating. zipper problems too.
Cheaply made, thought it would be better than Smittybilt, it's not, rear quarters already have light showing through, also fits like a wet noodle on stock frame so, hoping it shrinks but if it does, I also know the holes are going to get bigger, I've ordered a few things through quadratec recently and everytime I wish I hadn't. Companies really seeming to go down hill in QC and stock.
Quadratec soft top rear window is trash, zipper is very difficult to get around the first corner. Ended up ruining the zipper on the main roof on a brand new top. Watched instruction video and followed to a T. Even had help pulling the corner down, but zipper still would not round corner.
