Reviews for DynoMax 39510 DMX Super Turbo Axle Back Exhaust with Dual Exit in Aluminized Stainless Steel for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK with 3.6/3.8L
Awesome system for the price and it gives the Jeep a more pleasable tone. I am a huge fan!
Fairly easy to install and definitely adds a throaty sound along with a noticeable improvement in throttle response. The clamps are built very heavy with the ends of the bands are doubled back, so you would basically need an impact wrench with a deep well socket to get them to cinch down tight enough which is likely why people are saying that they aren't the right size. Also, if you've never removed an exhaust system before, a little hint to same you some time..lube up the hangers with WD40 or similar and use channel locks to remove them.
Really great sound! Deep and mellow but not something that your neighbors will complain about.
It sounds great and looks good.
Good sound, not to loud. As others have said a little soap on those rubber hangers works wonders. All clamps were correct size and it fit like a new one. Install wasn't bad. Worst part was getting the pole muffler loose. Great shipping.
I didn't want a really aggressive exhaust note, just a little more growl than the factory system. I did get that with this system, but I kinda wish it had just a bit more. It was a pain trying to get the factory muffler off of the rubber hangars, but that has nothing to do with the quality of this part. Just use some WD-40 and a lot of elbow grease and they will eventually come off.
went on pretty easy , looks good ,is louder than expected but will get use to that
I really like this muffler. It has a nice throaty tone and isn't too loud. You can easily carry on a conversation with the windows up running highway speeds. With the right amount of throttle, it can be almost silent. At WOT it sounds GREAT! Also, I can tell that my EGTs cool faster. To me, this is a clear indication of better flow.
I will echo the issue with the clamps. No matter how hard you try, you can't secure the tips with the enclosed Band clamps. Got an e-mail into CS at DynoMax to try and get some clamps in the next smaller size. Hardest part was getting off my 10 year old muffler. Installation was easy. I painted my DynoMax with high heat black paint. Love the look and like the sound. Happy with my purchase
Like a previous reviewer, I found the clamps supplied for the tips were too large and would not secure them to the outlets. A quick trip to the auto parts store an $8 took care of it, although I might have them tack welded to get rid of those ugly clamps. Getting the stock exhaust off took some work, but the Dynomax went in easy and it sounds great. Has a good mellow growl until you stomp on it, then it's all business.
