Reviews for ARB CKMTP12 Portable Twin Air Compressor
I've purchased several on-board ARB compressors for my vehicles, a single and a twin, and so far have performed well without any problems. In addition, I made the decision for my previous purchases based on the good reviews from others.
Everything works great and just as described. My RAM 1500 will beep the horn and tell me the key fob is not detected, if the truck is running while using the compressor. Very annoying. So, I use the compressor with the truck off, not the best for the battery some say.

This thing is amazing. Totally worth the money. Produces tons for air to inflate my 35” tires in seconds. Very well made. Not a toy like the others.
Perfectly built.
The ARB Twin is a dream. Been using this for a while. Can run lower pressure air tools (couldn't handle the 100psi impact drill) . Able to fill my tires. 100% duty cycle is a godsend.
First day, first impressions: After reading every review from every site, for every available portable air compressor, I decided on the ARB Portable Twin.
PRO's: Very strong sounding, heavy duty, twin air compressor that puts out a nice volume of air to the air gun provided in the kit. Everything seems to work as it should. (like I said, FIRST DAY!) Time will tell!!!
CON's:
1) $900.00 invested and the items provided in the kit do not include any type of air gauge to check tire pressure. ARB never said it did, but it does include a needle valve to air up your beach balls???? Hmmm.
2) The "Air travel equaliser valve to combat cabin pressure crush when landing" is 100% missing!!! All I got was a threaded hole in the lid of the plastic box. Was this something I needed to pay EXTRA FOR???
3) The lid seal, while the box is latched with the "easy opening aluminum latches" is not tight enough to keep water out if it is dropped and submerged in water. Push on the lid with about 5 lbs of pressure and it closes tighter on the seal than the latches keep it. That tells me water can get in if it is submerged. Hmmm.
I steer way from MADE IN CHINA products and bought this because I was led to believe it was designed and made in Australia. I am betting that the COMPRESSOR is made in Australia, but I am very disappointed in the quality control in the box. When ARB touts that the BOX is as good of quality as the compressor is, my first impressions concern me. I HOPE the compressor is much better quality than the box is. I am impressed with the compressor, but not the box.
