Remove the entire peddle assembly. Its 4 bolts. No nut on the back. Just zip them out with a socket and drill/small impact. I cut the spring a pin out of the old peddle. The pin seems to be a "ONE WAY ENTRY" pin. Goes in but can not be backed out very easily. At least not without damaging the peddle. Be sure to take a pic and note the orientation of the peddle spring. Niceeee NICE!!!!!!!

Removal of the pedal assembly and use of a clamp and spacer for the pin made install super easy. The pedal itself works exactly as needed. Isn't the worlds best quality part, but does exactly what is required for cheap and seems as good as the original 40 yr old broken one.
