Reviews for Lange Originals Power Hoist-a-Top & Door Hanger Combo for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK
From ordering to delivery to install. PERFECT. All bits arrived in Australia and install took about 5 hours after measuring position and going to hardware store to get bracing for in the roof. Didnt really utilize instructions as not many parts and pics in box spelled it out. Works perfectly.
works great...worth the money...I never had any problems with this hoist. would highly recommend it to anyone with garage for their Jeep and the likelihood of removing the top a lot,or using a soft top part of the year like we do
it works great and was easy to install. Totally worth the money to have the power hoist. I can take the top off and put it on by myself with very little effort. It would be nice to have known that it is not compatible with a hard top that has a roof rack! I had to engineer my own solution for it to work with my roof rack. Besides that works great.
installation pretty simple overall--lucky their are videos on YouTube-- agree with other review about the white foam--not well made to stay attached to T frame--overall though very happy with product and would recommend it
I’m giving this three stars at this point. I have not lifted my top off yet as it is not completely installed. This directions to this install are a joke. There is a QC code to scan which indicates that there are instructional videos to watch. I scanned each section and there are no videos and it only populates to a PDF file of the directions that it was shipped with. This is not a cheap product and it protects a valuable piece of the jeeps we buy, this company should be more detailed with there instructions and upload these videos they speak of. Not sure I can recommend this product at this point.
Works alright but this was not worth the cost. You are better off getting some ratchet straps and making your own following a video on line. The Door hangers are a wast of money and I won't use them because I'm afraid they will scratch my doors.
Hoist and frame are fine, but foam pad for roof and front panels is crappy falls off frame, and needs some kind of support. I used a thin piece of wood about 3/4" wide and rubbed bands to hold it on, but the original design really sucks and is cheesy!
I literally had my top fall down twice with this. The first time it was just a little damage on the corner of my top. The second time it fell while I was raising it and it broke the back window and was very scary.
Bolts to hold pulley snapped off twice. Luckily we were only using 1 pulley. One the door hangers you put 2 little screws in to hold the pieces together. Screws don’t fit. We got one in part way and the head snapped off. So frustrating. For $500 I would expect better quality.
