Reviews for Mopar 82210214AB 7 Way Round Trailer Connector for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Everyone said is right, but the lenght of the wires for an unlimited are quite tight.. Just enough not more had to do some adjustments.. From the ground is kind of a pain to go back and forth to each position under the Jeep as I got no lift kit but it can be done. Instructions were ok but add more zip tie youll need more to secure your harness the ones they giving are ok but cheap. I add more than enough to make sure nothing happen cause it pass close from moving parts.. Have fun, No programmation needed thats bs from dealer to make more money! Mine was asking 3 hours to do it at 94$/hr + reprogramming of the computer of the Jeep I then saved more than $450!
I'm not sure if this product is really worth the price. It looks like the benefit of this is that you don't don't have to splice into the factory wiring. However, you still need to splice into brake pedal wiring up front for most brake controllers on a Wrangler JK. Other 3rd party kits have longer wires and are significantly cheaper (This is MOPAR's fault, not Quadratec). I really can't think of an application where this is better than after-market: If you don't need trailer brakes or constant 12V power, you can just use a 4-pin to 7-pin adapter which is significantly cheaper and if you do need those things, 3rd party kits are available that plug into the 4-pin wiring, hook up to the battery, and splice into the brake lines up front.
It would be great to see Quadratec put together a kit like that.
I connected it to my JK but one turn signal doesn't work. Could you clarify how it could work in case of the connection is supposed to only left reer lamp and power supply?
The 7-way connector is not as good as described
My jeep is a 2-door wangler, made in 2010. When I installed it according to the instruction, all the lamps don’t work normal except rear clearance lamps and License Plate Lamp. When I brake, the left turn lamp of the trailer will flash. when I back up the wrangler, the brake lamp of the trailer will work. when I turn on the left turn lamp, the right turn lamp will flash. it is so horrible. And the right lamp will never work. I think, it is impossible to work, because the wire is only connected to the left rear lamp of wrangler and there is no right signal.
