Reviews for Bestop Trektop NX Soft Top with Upper Doors for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ
Perfect Fit
Great quality!! wishing now that I bought a top with a frame as its a pain to put this on and off each time but its as advertised the quality is very very good!!
You will receive two boxes one has the windows and the other the top.
Install paperwork is good but watch the videos to get the wide picture.
The door surrounds come with rubber pads at the end and I had to remove mine at the windshield side to get the holes lined up.
(some one at the factory put the rear surround rubber pad on wrong) Had to fix that.
The surrounds I received are good quality but had to twist them to get the holes lined up to screw the knobs in.
Those are the only complaints I have.
It's a great top and works with my rear web cage system and my spider shade over the front seat.
However 5 Stars for the top and 3 stars for the factory not paying attention to the details mentioned on the door surround pads and holes not lining up.
Left mine out in the 90° sun for a couple hours to loosen everything up. was still incredibly tight and very difficult to get on compared to other tops I've had. That's not a bad thing now cuz once it's on it's good. Haven't tried taking any of the windows out or the top off yet, but I'm pleased with it so far. Have an issue with my driver side window, there's too much fabric or vinyl material so anytime I go more than 20 miles an hour the whole window vibrates really loud.
This top was a little difficult to put on, but not bad. The video helped for sure. I've had mine on for over a month and I'm very pleased with it. The only thing I wish they would change, or make available as an add on, a way to roll up the back panel. But I think because of the rigidness of the windows, it's probably not possible. Two weeks I took off the sides and rode it like a bikini top and it was fine. They were still a little tight to put back on but it's worth it to see them stay tight to the frame. I recommend getting both zippers started, the top one and the back one, before you do anything else. I think the video recommends this too.
This top is garbage. The hardware (tie down straps, zippers) are cheap, and will break if you look at them wrong. Also, way too small to fit a TJ Wrangler. I had a more positive experience with tarp, burger set up I was running.
