Reviews for AEV 10305016AA Splash Guards for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK with AEV Rear Bumper
Caution if not installing on brand new AEV bumper (i.e. Not mounting brand new AEV bumper at the same time). As first reviewer said, you get dirt and rust in the nut threads and once you go to tighten your bolts, that nut which is mounted inside the plastic bumper, will slip and you won't be able to tighten or remove the bolt at all. I tried anyway, but had the same problem. What should have taken 2 minutes took an hour. Had to cut off the bolt or else will hear a washer jingling around. For the extreme cost of these flaps, they should have had shorter screws that were black to match the wheel well and guard itself. You aren't mounting steps, you don't need an inch of bolt to hold the flap in place! If you take the gamble, do yourself a favor and just go buy shorter, black hardware. For $105 though, you should not have to go to these troubles at all. For $20-30, sure.
I put up a pic of how they look on lifted, oversized off road tire. Doesn't cover the whole tire, but enough to keep rocks flying. You can also see the fantastic bright silver hardware sticking out like a sore thumb around all black materials. One star may sound super harsh, but if you are charging that much, you best be able to take it too.
