Reviews for Smittybilt 7694 SMI Side Mirrors in Black For 87-06 Jeep Wrangler YJ & TJ for Factory Half Doors & 94-06

I read the reviews on these mirrors and tried to make a decision since there were mixed reviews. Unfortunately the poor reviews were more accurate. The only pro was they were simple to install and the look nice. They vibrate a fair amount at all speeds. Although it is hard to tell from the photos, the wind blows them to the point of just looking at the pavement. There does not seem to be a way to correct it either. It’s frustrating since they cost a fair amount and I will probably end up trashing them.

I bought these to replace my original mirrors that would not remain in place once I got up to about 65 miles an hour. These Smittybilt replacement mirrors are terrible. I installed them with no issues. On the first trip out, they got blown flat sideways at about 50 MPH. COMPLETE waste of money and time to remove and install. This is the first steaming pile of junk that Quadratech has sold me.

I purchased a set of these mirrors for my 01 wrangler... These are absolutely the cheapest mirrors I have ever seen.... The mirror it self is very low quality and it doesn't stay in place at all............ Worst buy ever.....

There is clearly a design flaw in these. I ordered and installed them and almost immediately found the drivers side mirror moving on its own once I got to about 45-50MPH. I returned and got a replacement, but as soon as I reinstalled the same thing happened again. My original mirrors lasted 15 years before they started having this problem. I am now looking for another type of replacement, since these do not work.

I guess the mirrors look ok. Installation was very easy. But the mirrors won't stay put. After driving a few miles, I'm looking down at the rear tires when I look in the mirrors. And, after only one week, the supplied screws are already rusting. Don't waist your money on these. I'll be calling Quadratec tomorrow, to find out what I need to do to send them back and get a decent product. Very disappointed! First negative experience with Quadratec product.

Don't buy these under any circumstance. They aren't worth the cardboard they are shipped in. They wind pushes them over to a useless position anywhere above 50 mph, the screws underneath have to be tightened on a weekly basis, and everything seems to be rusting from the inside out. The mirrors these replaced lasted 17 years, I think I'll throw these away after 17 days. Don't waste your money.
