Reviews for Rampage Products Euro Grille Guard for 87-06 Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ & Unlimited TJ
Why I got it: A run-in with a deer bashed apart a headlight and stove in my grill, which wound up costing a hundred dollars to fix (I love Wranglers!), so I didn't want that to happen again. I thought about stingers and other partial guards but the Euro guard shape is the only one that would have covered all the parts I damaged the first time.
I was hesitant to order the cheapest Euro guard based on previous experience with Rampage's upper half-door fitment (it didn't), but the reviews were good so I went with this one rather than the eerily similar but much more expensive option available on Quadratec.
First impression: Clean and solid out of the box, but it rattled due to some loose object inside. Can't hear the rattle when driving, so it doesn't bother me.
Installation: Very reasonable. I think the "Level 2" difficulty rating is for having to pull apart the !@#$% electrical connectors when you remove the factory fog lights. By the way, those are held on by a single nut inside the bumper (took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out). After that the guard literally bolts on with the factory bumper bolts. Easy!
Looks: If I cared about appearances I'd be reviewing, say, Mustang spoilers rather than Jeep deerslayers. Anyway it's identical to the picture in the ad.
Overall: Haven't hit anything so I don't know how it will hold up, but it's sturdy enough to push the Jeep around with. So 5/5, would smash.
Look and protection great price
Very affordable, bolts on in minutes. Won't do any good in a collision but will definitely do what it's designed to do in overgrown trails.

Prompt delivery, easy install.
Less than an hour to install and that included a trip to the store to get the right bit. Now my pavement princess looks less prissy. Lol
The husband really liked it
I really like this brush guard. Fit and finish are great. Something different too, not just another stinger bar. Be careful if you have a big winch though, my Warn VR8 would not fit with the controller mounted vertically. Plenty of room otherwise, so if you have a lower/smaller winch you’d be fine. I only needed an inch or two to clear.
Seems pretty sturdy too, I haven’t hit anything with it yet so we’ll see.
Perfect fit and very strong....10 minutes to install. Will stop the deer....
Only difficulty was the frozen bolts on my bumper. Used a cheater bar & off they came. Total time @40 minutes. It looks menacingly awesome. Bro. E
