Reviews for Quadratec Softbond 5-Layer Car Cover for 76-06 Jeep CJ-7, Wrangler YJ & TJ
Excellent quality
My jeep has always lived outside. Since I got this cover, I don't have to wash the Jeep as often, and I get a lot fewer leaves in the cowl vents. I recently put a spacer lift on the jeep and added 15x8 wheels and 31x10.5 tires, and the cover still fits!
Perfect fit!
Does a great job for what it is designed for.
Not a bad cover but I feel it will only last 1 winter here in Colorado. The cover is thick and a good price. My last cover was a Cover Craft and it was just over $350. This cover is made to fit a STOCK Jeep. I have a winch and a 33” spare tire and the cover is super tight. I don’t feel the cover will stretch but will tare down the road. But for $100 I can buy a new one each year. Winters here in Colorado can be horrible and n covers, between snow and wind I can’t find any covers that last. Cable could be a touch longer. When I order the next cover I will order this exact cover but for a 4 door.
The fit
I like that its molded to fit.
Pretty decent cover. Has lasted about 3.5 years with 99% use in Texas sun. Elastic is still good. Tears have happened around my antennae, and over the windshield lights that it isn't designed to accommodate. It has started to "dust" and lose some texture which means it's near the end, but should still last for another year or two. I use a tarp clips bunjee'd to each wheel to keep it taught and that has paid off in longevity.
Purchased the cover for my 80 CJ-7. It fits well once I figured out how to put it on (make sure Quadratec logo is front and centered). I'm only a few weeks in but it's doing a good job. It's definitely not waterproof but it's holding its own better than anticipated. We recently had 2" of rain in 24 hrs. I found a couple of puddles in the cup holders but overall I was impressed.
The cover fits nicely. It is hard to get over my spare tire.
