Reviews for Quadratec QJW-JL-HTC Deluxe Heavy Duty Hardtop Storage Cart for 07-22 Jeep Wrangler JL & JK
great ..
It does what it's supposed to do. Pretty solid feeling and the rolls very well and smooth. Locking wheels would be a nice feature when loading. We chased it around for a minute so, my advise would be to chalk the wheels when loading.
I haven’t put the top on yet, but the quality control of the drill holes is sub par. Alignment was pretty off on 3 of the caster sets and the z bracket. I was able to fight them in without re-drilling, but for $250 for a couple pieces of carpet covered MDF and a small bit of steel, I would have just built my own. If you are remotely handy you’re better off building your own and save $175. And you can misalign your own holes and blame yourself and rejoice in the money you saved.
This is ok. It probably works pretty well for people that just have to move over flat smooth spaces. I have to go over some grass and a threshold and it's pretty awkward; there is no good way to secure the top to the cart and the top slides around easily if the wheels hit any resistance. The shape of the cart means that the top covers it so it is very difficult to push on the cart itself. If I had to do it over again I would make something myself - this thing is really just a few pieces of 2x4 and four caster wheels. It's really a lot of money for what it is.
Can't recommend this product. Should have been a 10 minute assembly. Hard to believe that 1 hole was drilled incorrectly on both left and right side. For $249, you would expect more quality control.
Easy to assemble but the pre-drilled holes in the Z bar pad were too large for the included #8 screw. Hoping this can be easily resolved they Quadratec support.
Nice once I finished. Shipped with wrong size bolts and had to shorten them in order for the wheels to swivel.
The product itself seems pretty solid, but the instructions for assembly were a nightmare. It took me over three hours to get it assembled correctly because two of the parts were missed labeled (they said top, but they meant bottom.) The written descriptions were also vague which led to a ton of frustration. Now that it’s together it seems to do the trick well, but prepare yourself when it arrives for a long day of cursing and throwing things until you get it together the right way.
The instructions are poor. Does the job, but I would save your money and honestly get something better.
So the bolts won't fit through the caster wheel holes. Called customer service about it they said they'd ship another one, I asked if they could check the box first they said they didn't need to and sure enough same problem with the second shipment. Ended up getting my own hardware from the hardware store to make it work instead of flowing around shipping and stuff back and forth and having a call all the time. Bottom line don't waste your time until they figure this out unless you feel like going to the hardware store for your own stuff. Two stars simply because it does work really well once you have the right parts.
