Reviews for Smittybilt 76882 XRC Armor Rear Corner Guards for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door
Durable.
Have had these Two years and they are a head turner, I live in NJ and have only seen one other jeep with same fenders. As far as installation? Biggest pain in the ass. I am by no means a body shop guy, but I can get some things done. These required a body shop to install and took them a week for $800. Every bolt has to be rethread and many of the tools the average person doesn't have. In the end still love them. Lastly the paint seems to fade and chip - Two years of use.
Super easy installation. Very aggressive look. I get tons of compliments.
not the easiest to install on your own but if you can figure it out they look great recommend buying the nutsert tool as well for the install.
They look great and I can tell they will be very durable. My only complaint was Some of the holes to attach it were it stupid places where you could barely even get to it. Also it would be easier if it would come with a template for drilling the holes instead of having to secure it up there and marking it under the fender. That being said, we got er done. Def. recommend the nutsert tool. Saved a lot of time and cuss words.
These had issues, I had to drill some extra holes to feel like they were secure, they don't fit the contour of the side of the jeep very well and the drivers side was a very poor fit, I had to cut out the hole for the gas fill because it didnt line up and I had to beat the hell out of the rear corner because it was well under 90' and would not wrap around the back tail light section without a 5/8 gap in the corner.
