Reviews for Corbeau Sport Seat Pair for 76-18 Jeep CJ-5, CJ-7, CJ-8 Scrambler, Wrangler YJ, TJ, JK & Unlimited
I purchased these seats and the seat brackets that were suggested for my 2005 Jeep LJ. Installation was pretty easy. I removed old seats, bolted the new brackets to the new seats and bolted them in the Jeep. I needed to do a minor modification to the holes in the brackets where they mount to the floor to allow a little adjustment of the seats so the recline lever does not contact the roll bar.
Seats look great. They feel very sturdy and well made. Very comfortable. I would buy again
Note: I’ve read other reviews saying the seats sat higher than stock. Mine do not. They feel like the exact same height to me.
Very comfortable, good fit for my CJ7
Meets my needs.
Seats fit nicely in my CJ7 with the Corbeau seat brackets. Plenty of head room and does not hit the toll bar with head rest fully in the up position. Plenty of room under the steering wheel for my legs and slides back far enough to accommodate me at 6’3”.
These seats are outstanding. The fit is really nice, I used the adapters, and they bolted right up. They look like the seats that the XJ should have come with when it was new. There's about a half-inch of adjustment available to move the seat to the right or left after you get the seat in place. Check this adjustment before you do the final tightening.
Installed these in a 2004 TJ. They fit great - no interference with the console or sport cage. The grey vinyl is a near perfect match for the dash. They are very comfortable; noticeably more firm than the factory seats.
A couple issues people might have - using the adaptor makes the seats a good bit higher than factory. I’m 5’11” and I would say I’m at the top end of height that would be comfortable with the adaptor. I’m looking through the top 1/3 of the windshield.
The directions from Corbeau are ‘okay’, but not great. It took quite a bit of trial and error to figure out how to remove the factory seat base (it’s not just the three nuts on each side that hold the visible brackets). Rather, you are going to have to peel back the upholstery and remove a total of 8 bolts per seat. Also, the routing of the tumble cable on the passenger seat isn’t very clear - but if you look at it long enough, it’ll become obvious.
Last frustration is with both Corbea and Q-Tec... When I ordered, the Q-Tec site did not notify me that these seats are “made to order” (as they told me when I called). So after a week of no shipping notice, I contacted Corbeau. They told me they would ship the following week. We repeated that process for three weeks - them telling me they would ship the next week. (They did send a free tshirt, which was nice) I placed my order on 6/15 and the seats were delivered on 7/13.
Fit perfect in a 2005 LJ and couldn't be more comfortable.
These seats are amazing. They bolted right on the old seat frame for my '92 YJ. It is so nice having the recline feature that the original seats didn't have. They are taller, but the passenger seat still flips up like before (it will hit the visor now, so just flip it down). I splurged and had the seat heaters installed which is a great feature. They are extremely comfortable. I slathered them up in UV protection to try to prevent fading this summer.
I really like the look and comfort of these seats. You do sit a little higher , but not bad. I like that the tilt and slide function work like stock. I purchased the rear seat cover to match.
This has to be the most comfortable seat I have ever sat in. I used these seats to replace the stock 20 year old seats and the new seats were a perfect match and fit. Could not have been easier and makes long driving enjoyable again.
