Easy to install, tall enough to clear a 285/70R17 tire with room for more tire, and bright LEDs. The offset was slightly less than needed to clear the tire on a factory Rubicon wheel mounted to an after market (bumper mounted) tire carrier but the brake lamp mounting arm flexed well enough to work. I cut off the supplies four-way trailer plug and hardwired the lamp into the factory harness.

After installing my LoD rear bumper, and tire carrier, I needed a third brake light because in the state of California you must have one. The old one would not do. No way to fit it on the tire carrier. Tried this one I got from Quadratec. With some modification, turning it around so the mounts went inside the wheel opening. Hooked up to the trailer plug, and it works, and looks great. Where there is a will, there is a way.

Love this light, it looks great and fit perfectly. The only issue I found was with the instructions. the color code on the instructions are not the onces on the light harness, I had to modify the lights connection but it was easy.

This works now that I cut the wiring harness off and just hard wired into my existing 3rd brake light wiring. The trailer harness method just did not work. Trailer lights work fine on my jeep but when I plug this in it blinks when I use the turn signal. So I cut that off. Now that I have it hardwired it works great. I also modified the mount so I can't speak to the intended method of mounting. I cut of the 90 degree and just clamped it to my OR FAB tire carrier. Works for me.

Worked for a few days and is now dead. It also barely clears my 35" tire and unless mounted pushed up against spare it shakes around as the post is not very rigid. Re-did wires and it has power and is connected correct, it did work before, now dead.

Wobbles too much and after only 4 months stop working.
