Reviews for Corbeau E1118F Driver Side Seat Bracket for 97-02 Jeep Wrangler TJ
These brackets fit perfectly. Very easy to install.
Very good quality
Driver comfort is number one with me. That is why I upgraded from OEM to The Corbeau Sport seats. The required brackets for my TJ were easy to install too.
Nicely made brackets but depending on seats they may need modifying. I bought Corbeau Sports Seats and with this recommended bracket you sit very high, I will be cutting them down 1.5" and tapering the frame at the tunnel, this will bring the seat down close to factory height. I also flipped the slides so the adjustment handle will slide with the seat and not poke your calf when seat is all the way back. I also had to make spacers so the slide spring doesn't damage the bottom of the seat base. I made these spacers in a wedge to level the seat with my 2001 Jeep Wrangler. I only gave it a 3 star because a quality company like Corbeau should know better, otherwise they would have gotten 5 stars easy.
Expected better. Bought both driver and passenger bases.Holes did not line up in the legs of the bases with the holes in Jeep tub. Had to drill out the holes in the legs to make the bigger and bend the legs to get everything to line up. Passenger side was much worse an seems to have moved the seat closer to the center console to the point that it now touches it. Passenger side barely will slide, loosening and re tightening the bolts thinking I might have bound up the slide but didn’t help. Make sure you get the bases to line up with the tub before mounting the seats. Your gonna need a big hammer. On the plus side the seat hight is what it should be now compared to the factory bases. No tilt function .
Not happy with Corbeau, seats sit too high (dangerous in roll over) and are difficult to get out of, also seats do not go forward enough to put anyone in the back seat
