Finished installation works and looks great. Instructions are not up to Rugged Ridge standards. Black and white pictures are very poor. U-bolt clamps are too big to fit into the lower ball stud mount.

Works nice, relatively straight forward installation, but it groans horribly when you open the hood.

Other reviews accurate with regards to parts. The u-bolts are the wrong size. A quick trip to the hardware store fixed that. The instructions suck. Google the instructions for the same product made by Warrior products. They are in color and are a little more detailed. Once installed, the product works great.

79 cj7. LIke the other reviews the hardware isn't correct and it bends the strut rods which I now have to replace. Do not buy unless you feel like reworking the whole mess.

I'd give this product a zero if it were an option. The Ubolts are too large and do not fit the bracket. This issue has been mentioned in many reviews and Rugged Ridge apparently doesn't care to correct the problem. Also as mentioned in other reviews, the struts are too stiff to close the hood. I've already gone to the hardware store to get Ubolts that fit, guess I'll go see if they have struts that will work. Don't waste your $$!

Installed on a CJ7. The hardware shipped with it was incorrect. The U bolts are to large. The struts are to stiff and bend the radiator support bars when closing the hood.
I returned the product.
