Reviews for MBRP S5500BLK Black Series Cat Back Exhaust System for 00-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ with 2.5L I-4 & 4.0L I-6 Engines
Love the sound of this exhaust. Not too loud, but just right.
Awesome look and sound!
Fun... to install.. worth the work.
Had my mechanic install this system after my catalytic converter went down. Just did it all at once. According to him the system was a good fit and easy install. Honestly, for me, I did not want an overwhelmingly loud exhaust system, so I am very pleased with the sound. Has a nice mellow rumble. Bought mostly for the looks since I have a black Rubicon and it looks great.
I purchased this to install on my 2005 Jeep Rubicon. My son and I planned a DIY project but realized the stock exhaust would probably have to be cut, so I contacted a local exhaust shop and they had no issue fitting me for the install. Cost me around $100 for about an hours work. Mid-point the mechanic came in and asked if I wanted to keep the third catalytic convertor - apparently the jeep had three from the factory. Thought removing one would increase the air flow and sound and he agreed. Well, the first time I heard it was when the mechanic backed it out of the garage. It sounded AWESOME and we started chatting about MBRP exhaust - which he thought was far superior than the Gibson I had originally planned to purchase. On the drive home I was initially worried the exhaust would be too loud, but it wasn't but you can definitely hear the difference has you accelerate from a stop or downshift coming to a stop. I'm glad I went with MBRP and the black finish - goes perfectly with my black Rubison
Sounds good but could have more rumble, easy install
I purchased this back in June 2019 and it is already rusting around the tip of the exhaust on back under my jeep. Not to happy about it. Sounds good but it is rusting already.
