Reviews for Borgeson Heavy Duty Replacement Upper Steering Shaft for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ & Unlimited

I installed this on my 1997 TJ. Two or three times larger then the stock part. My only complaint is the steering wheel will not line up straight now. I can only see one way to mount everything so not sure what I did. I will make a trip to an alignment shop and see what they can tell me. Heavy duty part for sure.

Price was good, part fit. Only issue I had was some how parts got separated. Even had someone call and verify it was a legit charge (which was nice)
I paid extra for express shipping. And was told that because of the issue, I would be reimbursed some for the delay. It did absolutely no good to have one part, both were needed!

I bought both upper and lower shafts. The upper arrived first. I was extremely disappointed that it included a very cheap fire wall seal that reqires drilling. It is nowhere near Oem quality or function. The shafts appear well made. The lower end of the upper shaft would not mate with my oem lower shaft. It also will not mate with the Borgeson lower shaft that just arrived. So I got to do all the labor to reinstall my old parts again. With better firewall seals and fitment, this could be a great product. Not sure if I will return or exchange at this point. Will be shopping for something that retains oem seal on firewall.
