Reviews for MBRP S5500409 XP Series Cat Back Exhaust System in T-409 Stainless Steel for 00-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ with 2.5L I-4 & 4.0L I-6 Engines
Easy install looks good. Good quality. These newer TJs with 4 catalytic converter don’t sound as good as the older 2 cat TJs. The extra Catalytic converters kill the sound. This system has a nice tone, especially on cold start. But not very noticeable even with top off.
The price and that it is advertised to increase engine performance while giving my girl the proper growl.
I love this exhaust and how it sounds! Easy to install with no problems, I like that the clamp included is a nice band clamp that seals well. Another plus is that your exhaust will no exit from under the vehicle at the rear passenger's side corner instead of straight back.
Fit perfectly no modification necessary, It’s not as loud as I thought it would be and I’m quite happy about that
The MBRP stainless steel exhaust for my 2005 Jeep Wrangler was a breeze to install after you drop the pan. After dropping the pan, you can cut the old exhaust out and install the new one within a few hours. I've searched over countless of videos on YouTube for the "which exhaust sounds better on the 4.0l engine" and the MBRP sounded the best. I took a chance and I love it. Sounds great but not too much of a drone inside the cab. It is noticeable but slowly goes away on the highway which is great for those long trips.
Great cat back exhaust. Sounds great. The reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the band style clamp they give you. It doesn't tighten enough to clamp the two pipes together. Mine recently came loose. I just cut the band clamp and installed a 2 3/4" regular exhaust clamp.
It was asy to install, sounds, and looks great.
Good sound from outside the vehicle, but definitely drones inside the cab.
